We feel extraordinarily fortunate to release this coffee from the Montero family, who graciously hosted us during our first trip to Costa Rica back in 2022 as we explored partnerships for fermentation experimentation. Their priority in retaining the natural forestry around their coffee plants sets them apart from more traditional farming practices, which typically involve creating large clearings for the coffee cherries to ripen in direct sunlight. This lot exhibits beautiful florals with soft undertones of berry and dark fruit.
