Los Pirineos SL28

Los Pirineos, our sole partners in El Salvador, have been working tirelessly the past few years to cultivate non-native coffee varieties, boasting over 20 different selections. This includes the prolific SL28 variety, which is one of the most highly regarded coffee varieties in Africa. SL28, which makes up roughly 80% of the total coffee volume in Kenya, is well known for its sparkling citrus acidity and berry fruit notes. This particular lot is no exception; we were dazzled by the complexity and layers as it cooled, reminding us of lush cranberries and a sharp, bright grapefruit rind.
